I graduated from Iowa State University in 2004 with a BFA in graphic design. I worked for Basler Design Group in Cedar Rapids, IA between 2004 and 2009. During this time I did a little web development and took courses on human computer interaction, computational perception, and computer graphics through Iowa State University and the University of Iowa.  I enjoyed those classes, and decided to go back to school full time.

I received my master's in Music Engineering at the University of Miami.  I investigated an extension to wave field synthesis for my master's thesis.
